August 4, 2009 Vivian Hollis, 90 passed away peacefully at her home, on August 4th, in Casselberry FL where she lived with her son John. Vivian was born in Chicago, IL on August 23, 1919 to Philip and Anna Marocchini and at the age of 3years old moved with her family to Montemilone, Italy where she was raised. She would eventually leave Italy and move to New York City where she was married and raised her sons in Flushing, NY. Vivian loved to cook and bake her wonderfully delicious Italian recipes and while living during the War years with her father and mother in law, John and Netty Holocinski, she was taught to cook traditional Polish foods. Her husband Dr, Alfred W. Hollis Sr, predeceases Vivian. Vivian is survived by her sons; Dr. Alfred W. (Jennifer) Hollis Jr. of Malone, NY, John P Hollis of Casselberry, FL, Charles F. (Laurie) Hollis and Stephen W. (Christine) Hollis of Wake Forest, NC; Grandchildren, Amy (Matt) Rovi of Collegeville, PA, Ellen Hollis of Brooklyn, NY, Dr.Alfred W. (Kelly) Hollis of Saratoga Springs, Philip Hollis of Broadalbin, NY, Andrew Hollis of Syracuse, Jillian Hollis of Manhattan, NYC, Eileen Hollis of Syracuse, Lauralyn Hollis of Florida, Anastatia Hollis of Wake Forest, NC and Victoria Hollis of Malone, NY and great grandson, Daniel B. Rovi of Collegeville, PA Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday 11:30AM in The Basilica of The Sacred Heart of Jesus.
