Obituary of Edith A. Morse
Please share a memory of Edith to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
February 15, 2016 Edith A. (DePasquale) Morse of Liverpool NY passed peacefully on February 15th at the age of 86. Born in Canastota, her greatest joy was her family and friends. She leaves behind her husband of 60 years, Charles W. Morse Jr. They met at Continental Can in 1954 and were married shortly thereafter. After Continental Can, Edie spent most of her time focused on her passion, her family and the care taking of young children whom she would willing watch as if they were all her own. Charlie and Edie also enjoyed traveling and were able to visit many beautiful places together. Always generous and giving, she continues this practice in the afterlife by gifting herself to the Upstate Medical Anatomical Program. In her last few years we saw her go away little by little but, what never went away was her great sense of humor and her beautiful smile. Also surviving are her daughter Deborah (Gary) Thomson, Son Charles W. (Marni) Morse III. Grandchildren, Jessica (Justin) Butcher, Jennifer (Ron) Kwasniak, Olivia (Maurice) LeMon, Crystal (Jay) Powers, Eric Thomson (and Kim), Jacob (Stacy) Morse, David Morse, Isabella Morse. Great grandchildren, Kendall, Mikayla, Coby, Owen, Wyatt, Elijah. Edie was one of 18 siblings and is survived by brother Tony, Sisters Fran, Josa, Lucy, Mary, Angie, Nancy, Betty and Virginia. Several nieces and nephews. Also her dachshund Hans “Precious”. A memorial service will be held on February 27th at 10:30 with a luncheon right after. Pope John XXIII Roman Catholic Church, 8290 Soule Rd, Liverpool, NY 13090. 315-652-6591. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer's Association, 441 West Kirkpatrick Street, Syracuse, NY 13204
