November 2, 2015 Alexander Jackemuk 83 of Lakeland passed away Monday. Alex was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church and a member of the Holy Name Society. Alex was a graduate of Solvay High School. He was an electrician for 33 years at New Process Gear. Alex was a Navy Veteran Serving during the Korean War, he was a member of the American Legion Post 1650 and Polish Legion of American Veterans Post 14. In addition, Alex was a member of Knights of Columbus 6282, Loyal Order of Moose 625, Scout Master of BSA Troop 135 and was a member of The Order of The Arrow. Alex was predeceased by his sons, Michael and Thomas. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley Jackemuk and sons Walter and Andrew; 2 granddaughters, Tanya Ryan and Jessica Jackemuk; 7 great grandchildren. Calling Hours : Wednesday 4 to 7 PM at Our Lady of Peace Church 203 Halcomb Street Syracuse NY 13209. Funeral Services: Thursday 9:30 AM Our Lady of Peace Church. Burial : Veterans Memorial Cemetery Syracuse.
