I knew Dave through youth hockey. My son played on Dave's son Josh's team a number of times. As anyone who has ever been involved with hockey knows, it generates friendships like nothing else I have ever known. Dave was always good for a joke; he was down-to-earth- and had a heart of gold. When my husband passed away unexpectedly, Dave was always there if I needed anything. I, like so many others, will miss his easy smile and great wit. Hope you're in a better place, Mr. Za-ratch (as I always called you).
