July 7, 2015 In Loving Memory Donald L Cooter lost his long battle to cancer at St Joseph’s Hospital on July 7th, 2015 in Syracuse, NY at the age of 74. Donald is survived by his wife, JoAnn Cooter; sons, David Cooter, Kevin Cooter, Donald Cooter Jr., Charles Cooter; daughter, Melodie Hurteau; stepsons, Max Copley, Wade Copley; brothers, David Cooter, Fred Cooter; sister, Betty Cooter; 13 grandkids; 11 great grandkids. Donald was born on April 4th, 1941 in Syracuse, NY to Charles Cooter and Lyva Delapp. Donald was a warm-hearted man who loved his family, friends, and horse racing. He also had a great passion for his dogs Baron and Jessie. Friends may call Friday 9:30 AM Hollis Funeral Home 1105 West Genesee St Syracuse. Funeral Services will follow at 10 AM. Burial: Loomis Hill Cemetery, Syracuse. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Donald's life. Any donations please send to the American Cancer Society at PO Box 22718 Oklahoma, OK 73123.
