Mary J. (Kubik) Burton, 85, of Syracuse, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at Crouse Hospital. Born in Lowell, Mass., she lived in Syracuse most of her life. Mary graduated from Vocational High School and worked at the Addis Co., G.E. and Shopper's Fair. Mary loved her animals and her family. She also enjoyed working on crafts and working in her yard. Mary was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Harold in 1993, her daughter Roberta Gile and her sister Anna Zingaro. Mary is survived by her daughter, Bonnie (Michael) Woodhouse of Clay; her sons, Larry (Beth) Burton of Palm Harbor, Fl., Gerald (Beth) Burton of Binghamton, Michael (Helen Carter) Burton of Syracuse, twelve grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 11 A.M at Sacred Heart Church, Cicero. Contributions may be made to the SPCA, 5878 E. Molloy Rd., Syracuse, NY 13211 or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 100 Metropolitan Park Drive, Liverpool, NY 13088.
