Obituary of Ludmila Mirgorod

Ludmila Mirgorod, 73, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024 at Upstate University Hospital. 

Ludmila was born in Curitiba, Brazil on January 24, 1951 to Walter and Maria Mirgorod. Her family emigrated to Syracuse in 1960. Ludmila graduated from Central Tech High School, then worked in banking and finance throughout her career. Ludmila will be most remembered for her quick wit, and humorous and caring personality. She knew how to light up a room! She also enjoyed spending time with family, fishing, and gardening. 

Ludmila is survived by her two daughters, Jeanette (David) Majerus of Cicero, and Sonia (Shannon) Bonnell of Liverpool; ; her brother, Walentin (Patricia) Mirgorod of Fernandina Beach; Lidia Mirgorod and Elizabeth Mirgorod both of Liverpool; and her brother, George (Jennifer) Mirgorod of Atlanta. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Larissa Garcia of Fort Lauderdale;  grandson Nicholas Majerus; and several nieces. 

Ludmila was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Maria Mirgorod.

Funeral services will be held at Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, New York on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at 1:00pm. There are no calling hours.
