Obituary of Kevin Munnett

Kevin M. Munnett, of Syracuse NY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 3, 2024. He was born in Hartford, CT to the late Kathryn M. and Edward H. Munnett on November 3, 1951. Kevin graduated from West Genesee High School and is an alumnus of the Culinary Institute of America.

 

In his teenage years, Kevin was a bassist in one of the original CNY garage bands - The Brawling Nobles. Later in life, Kevin enjoyed bird watching,  gardening, watching the SU Orange, and made many great memories at Skaneateles Lake. Family and friends savored many of Kevin’s culinary creations, especially during the holidays. Kevin will be remembered for his subtle sense of humor, cheerful disposition, and his heart of gold.

 

Kevin is survived by Kathryn A Nickerson and his loving family; Tassie (Ralph) Haller, Sue (Bob) Sticco, Richard (Diane) Munnett, Tom (Jan) Munnett, Maureen (Joe) Vaughan and Nancy (Nathan) Towne, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews who affectionately referred to him as “Uncle Keggy.”

 

A celebration of his life will be scheduled at a later date. Contributions in Kevin’s memory can be made to The American Heart Association or The American Cancer Society.
