So sad to hear about Cheryl. She was my best friend for a number of years. We met at OCC and gathered at the Velasko Inn after class. It was so much fun! I remember Freddy Pratt’s, and skiing and traveling with the Ski Hawks. We also traveled together to Montreal and Indianapolis.the memories have lasted 40+ years.

I worked with Cheryl at Carrier for years. She visited us after we moved to Ohio.and she and I traveled together to England and later took a memorable trip to Ireland. Cheryl was usually the person who initiated get togethers. She made us laugh and was a good friend. RIP Chuchee (please forgive the mis-spelling.

Mistakes in original post.
The last time I saw Cheryl was in a pharmacy in East Syracuse. She was crying,, we gave each other big hugs. I wish I could have removed the tears. She was going through a very hard time.

I knew Cheryl when we worked in the same department at Carrier. I have thought about her for a while now, more recently I thought about her often. I liked her a lot. The last time I saw her was in a h in East W. She was going through a difficult time. we gave each other a big hug, she was crying. I wish I could have taken the tears away.
I am so very sad to read she has gone to meet the Lord. I hope I get there when it's my time so I can see her smile again.

Have so many memories, that I don't know where to start. Cheryl climbed a palm tree at a bar we were at in St. Croix and got us kicked out of the bar. We were "River Rats" for toga night on our crise to Bermuda. I couldn't keep the moped upright, so Cheryl let me ride on the back of her moped. When we went to England, I had to sleep on the bathroom floor because Cheryl snored so loud. We went to see the Mouse Trap because she loved Agatha Christie and to Starlight Express because I loved Andrew Lloyd Webber. We had the best ribs ever at Grandma's near the theater. We were at a subway stop when an announcement was made to evacuate the subway because of a bomb threat. We went to street level and hailed a cab only to find out we were only two streets away from our hotel. She got me hooked on the Sue Grafton alphabet series.
She brought me back a T-shirt from Ireland that I will always cherish.
She had the most unforgettable laugh. Was always up for a good time and a new adventure. She had such a big heart.
I will truly miss you, my friend.

Cheryl had this amazing laugh. It could vary in register, sometimes high, sometimes lower. I remember being a kid and visiting them on Medford. Their mom was my godmother. I was looking at the fish tank in their living room. Cheryl was standing behind me. She pointed at the tank and said, "That big one bites." Then she laughed, but it was her low pitched laugh. "Heh heh heh." For a second, it made me wonder, who is she? Then, her lovable dimples drove that question away.

Cheryl was always smiling and could make you laugh. I will miss her December emails with a different Christmas song each day. When we worked together she always called me Smitty.
