Obituary of Betty Lou Egan

BETTY LOU EGAN (BURNS), passed away peacefully at age 95 on June 24, 2024.     Born in Kane, Pennsylvania, the oldest of four children of Grace (Wingate) and Harold Burns.  Betty retired from the Syracuse City School District.  Betty delighted in and was dearly loved by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed much time and many travels spent with them.  She loved the game of golf and spent many happy years playing with her sons and friends.  She was also an accomplished furniture restorer.   

Survived by her daughter, Pamela (Egan) Perisho and son, Richard William Egan, Jr., three grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and her sister Mrs. Margaret Myers (Fred).  Also survived by daughter-in-law Shirlee Egan, nieces, nephews and stepfamily members. 

Preceded in death by her husband, Richard William Egan, Sr., and the youngest of their three children William Joseph Egan, her brothers Donald Burns, Roland Burns, and her parents.  Also preceded by daughter-in-law Margaret Egan and son-in-law James Perisho.

Private burial will take place.
