Obituary of Robin Ptaszek

Robin Ptaszek, 83 passed away on Thursday, May 9th at home surrounded by family. Born in Detroit Michigan, son of Stanley and Bernice (Yustick) Ptaszek.  He serviced in the United States Navy from 1958 - 1962 where he met the love of his life Virginia (Ginger) Wolniak.  They just celebrated their 61 years of marriage on May 4th with family.  They resided in Liverpool, NY for 50 years and had 4 children.

Robin worked for J.W. Stevens company before his retirement.  He is a member of the Cicero American Legion and enjoyed hunting, fishing and he loved golfing.

Robin will be remembered for his big heart and always helping others in any way he could.  He would drop everything when someone would call and ask for advice  or help with any situation.  He made a lasting impression on every person he came in contact with.  Was immediately "Dad" to all of his children's friends.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Viriginia (Ginger) Ptaszek (Wolniak). his brother Ronald (Sandy) of Michigan, Wrenie (Ken) of Florida.  He was blessed with 4 children, Mark (Trina), Scott (Wendy J), Wendy and Debbie, 3 grandchildren Jessica, Joshua and Jonathan and 6 great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be from 1:00 - 2:30pm on Saturday, May 18th at Hollis Funeral Home, 1105 West Genesee Street, Syracuse. 

At 2:45 PM Please join the family for a reception at the Syracuse Polish Home 915 Park Avenue Syracuse NY 13204 to honor a life well lived and enjoy great stories with friends, family and food.
