Obituary of Geoffrey Massie

Geoffrey (Jeff) Massie, 67, of Syracuse, NY, has been released to be with our Ancestors. Jeff was largely raised in Syracuse and his love for the city was undeniable. He spent numerous hours cheering on the Orange and the Jets. He loved his time as a Pop Warner coach with Westvale, Valley, and Eastwood. Jeff was an avid fisherman and lover of nature. He was always seen with his water bottle, boots, and hat. He enjoyed watching westerns and talk shows, sitting in his chair, eating cashews and pistachios. He taught us how to BBQ, the joy of football, and the comfort of a clean house and a home-cooked meal. He is survived by his ex-wife, Melinda who never left his side. Jeff’s legacy lives on through ALL of his children, McArthur (JR), Greg, Matina, PJ, Angela, Tanya, Tyrone, Michael, Leroy, Danielle, Jamaine,  Kiesha, Carmella, Melisssa, Raphael, Theresa, Heather, and Brittney, his many grandchildren, and his fur babies- Blackeyes, Teaspoon, Cleveland, Grimsby, Bella, and Cali. He is remembered by his family, friends, and loved ones.

A celebration of life will be held on June 1st from 2 to 6PM at the Bay View Shelter Willow Bay at Onondaga Lake Park. Please stop by and share your memories with the family.
