James Frederick Hawkins Obituary

James F. Hawkins, known by many as "Hawk," passed away at home on April 4th, 2024 after a courageous battle against cancer.  He was born in Syracuse on April 24, 1953 to the late Frederick J and Marjorie Eva Hawkins. He graduated from Fayetteville-Manlius High School. Jim lived in 4 other states but always returned to the Syracuse area. He worked several different jobs, but selling ice cream for Skippy probably fit him best because he was out cruising around making people smile.  One of Jim’s favorite activities was attending concerts with the many close friends he made through the years. Jim is survived by his siblings Barbara Hawkins (Richard Philopena) of Dennis, MA, Bruce Hawkins of Truckee, CA and Jeff Hawkins (Laura) of S. Burlington, VT.  Services will be private.

Memorial donations can be made to Central New York SPCA 5878 E Molloy Rd Syracuse NY 13211 or ONLINE www.cnyspca.org
