Eugeniusz Rombel, 82, succumbed to cancer at the comfort of his own home surrounded by his family on November 25, 2023. He was the loving husband of Anna Rombel,  who together shared 59 years of marriage. 

Born in Błażejki, Poland, Eugeniusz was the son of Jan (Rosalia) Rombel. He served in the Polish Army and attended trade school for automotive mechanic/professional driver. In 1982, he immigrated to Syracuse where he worked at Roth Bros. Metal Co. until retirement. 

Eugeniusz belonged to the Bascilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus where he served as an usher. He enjoyed dancing,  listening to music, gardening and spending time with family. He will be remembered for his infectious smile and ability to uplift others. He made everyone who knew him laugh at all the stories he shared. One of his biggest accomplishments was being a father and grandfather. He loved unconditionally and cherished his family above all else.

Eugeniusz is survived by his wife, Anna Rombel,  son Mariusz (Megan) Rombel, daughter Allyssa (Ron) Nicotra, six grandchildren,  brother Tadeusz (Daniela) Rombel, sister Jadwiga Bednarz and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.
