Jessie Bernita (Dembowski) Surface, 84, of Lakeland, passed away on November 12, 2023, at home. Jessie was a beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, aunt, great grandmother, and cousin. Jessie was born in Syracuse, NY. Jessie was a communicant of St. Marianne Cope at Our Lady of Peace Church in Lakeland, NY. She retired from Salamino's Florist, where she worked as a bookkeeper. She was happiest spending time in her garden and feeding her chipmunks and any wildlife that wandered into her yard. She will truly be missed by her family and friends. Jessie is survived by her loving sons Jeremy (Karen), and Jeffrey (Gretchen), granddaughters Bethannie, Jennifer, Emily, Rachel, and Tiffany, grandsons Nathan, and Alexander, six great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is predeceased by her mother, Clara Dembowski and her late husband Jerry L.
