Dear Harry, Suzanna, Beau, and Harry Jr,
I am so sorry to hear of Elsbeth. She was such a beautiful and unique soul, with so many gifts that todays world desperately needs. Bright, inquisitive, kind and adventurous, both inwardly and outwardly. She was in the world in a different way. I have met few like her.

I will never forget you. You were one of the most beautiful souls I have ever encountered. I will always be thankful for our cross country trip together from California New York it was one of the most wonderful times in my life. Elsbeth and I had fallen out of touch due to time and distance, but I always assumed we'd reconnect. She was one of my best friends for a stretch of time and I'll always treasure our journeys and heartfelt chats and shenanigans. We went on many hikes, layedd in fields, camped in her backyard, roadtripped to see NIN. Her heart felt love and forgiveness far beyond what some of the people she surrounded herself deserved. I hope she has found peace.

A lot of the things I remember are bittersweet, there was always a "best of times worst of times" feeling in those younger, wilder days.
One night I was concerned for some reason and roller-bladed down to Matson and climbed up the chimney into your attic room thinking we could smoke a bowl or something. I was disappointed to find it empty, but for some reason I decided to write you a loce-letter even though I couldn't find any paper. It ended up going on the back of like a reailly long banner. I wish I could remember what I wrote, but of course the general message was my undying live in that moment which transcended both space and time. You would occasionally remember it when you got a few in ya and would ask me to marry you lol (though the offer was sincere the actual consumation of said marriage seemed unlikely).
It's always hard being in a state of unrequited love, but still it gets the creative juices flowing. I think it might have been my best love letter, too bad it's now lost to time since I really don't remember (probably was wasted).
My advice to all foolish young men in love is to copy your love letters; even if they may not "do the trick" that shit is often literary gold with some editing. Also, if the love of your life mentions the letter in a sentimental mood you want to know what on earth she is talking about!!!
Also, your Dad's expression when I walked out through the kitchen the next morning was priceless...

My sister was the first person who taught me how to turn on a game console.
And then she also finished the first stage of Resident Evil 1 back in 1996 with me
My sister had quite a few video games. She really liked like echo the dolphin from Sega. Intelligent cube on the PlayStation, also known as q. She liked the rock hero games where you had the guitar. And you kept time papa the rapa ,

Els was enigmatic and paradoxical- sensitive yet ribald, social but hermetic, sweet and sour. She had a way of connecting with people and would draw those selected aside and talk and talk endlessly forming truly deep friendships. I am grateful to be one of the lucky ones that she chose to let in, although we butt heads sometimes. She was a firm believer in truth and loyalty, and she would test and uncover any fakers. She was loyal to a fault and she stayed too long with men that did not value her. She was devastated by her last breakup and died of a broken heart.

I was fortunate enough to reconnect with Elsbeth over the summer. She helped me through one of the most difficult times of my life and for that I am eternally grateful. Even though she was going through so much herself she didn't hesirate to be there for me. I'm at a loss for words to describe the void I feel is left in the world. I love you Elsbeth. Rest softly and sweetly.

Elsbeth was a power house of a personality. She was Brilliant, creative, adventurous, kind and more. She was there for me at a formative time in my life when I really had no other friends but she took a chance and befriend the awkward girl. She introduced me to a world of people and experiences I’d never known to have existed before. She was always there for me when I wanted her, or even when I didn’t. She made me want to sample all the world had to offer and taught me that dreams are to be perused even if they may seem crazy to everyone else. I loved Elsbeth and will never forgive myself for delaying reconnecting after I moved home. I thought we’d have plenty of time. She’s taught me again to never delay connecting with people you love. Elsbeth is an intrinsic part of my memory she’s a part of my personality and will forever be with me. A magic soul has returned to god, and with her we’ve lost a little of the magic here on Earth

The last time Elsbeth and I hung out was a Sunday near the end of July. She was going to stay at my house and rest but at the last minute grabbed her stuff and hopped in to the van full of Guinea Pigs. She was not too concerned about my attempts to sell the Guineas, but of course she was very protective of the animals themselves. I tried to amuse her with various shenannigans but she was stubbornly grumpy.
