October 21, 2014 Myrtle Rogala 95 born on May 1, 1919 in Syracuse, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at Iroquois Nursing Home. Myrtle was a life resident of the Syracuse area and lived in Camillus for over 60 years. She was predeceased by he husband, Anthony J. Rogala Jr in 1979, her sisters, Evelyn Luke and Cecile Houde and brother, Wesley Yager. She was educated in the city school district and was employed at GE and E.W. Edwards. Myrtle was active in many organizations and was a member of the Camillus Seniors, Sacred Heart Seniors and the Westside Seniors, where she served as president for many years. She was an active member of the Camillus Democrats and served as a member of the Democratic Election Inspectors for over 50 years. Myrtle was a communicant of The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. She is survived by her sons; Anthony J. (Cindy) Rogala of Baldwinsville and Richard L. “Rick” (Patty) Rogala of Lakeland; brother, Mike(Dona) Yager of Jamestown, NY, grandchildren; Laura Babcock, Sandra Otis, Kathrine(Tom) Root, Kim(Chris) Karn, Richard (Jessica) Rogala and Alan(Angela) Clarkson, great grandchildren; Brandon Otis, Christina and Collette Root, Patrick and Nathan Karn, Meadow and Riley Rogala and Jacob and Chelsea Clarkson, many nieces and nephews. Calling Hours: Thursday 4 to 7pm Hollis Funeral Home 1105 W. Genesee St Syracuse. Funeral Services: Friday 9:30AM in the Basilica of The Sacred Heart of Jesus. Burial: Sacred Heart Cemetery, Geddes.
