Adeline Slazik Obituary

Adeline Slazik entered into eternal rest peacefully on August 22, 2023. She was born in Buffalo, NY on November 9, 1927 to Walter and Bertha Jankot. Adeline married her beloved husband, Walter Slazik, on November 20, 1948 and enjoyed 69 years of marriage together. Adeline and Walter raised five children and one granddaughter in Syracuse, NY. She is preceded in death by her husband, oldest daughter Susan Dusse, and youngest son David Slazik. She is survived by Michael Slazik (Anny), Paul Slazik (Kathy), Jean Michaels, and Kimberly Graf.  Adeline enjoyed a career as a registered nurse beginning with the Navy and serving many years as a skilled emergency room and physician’s office nurse. Adeline will be remembered for her thoughtful nature, remembering friends and family she cared about with letters and cards. Her joy in life was spending time with her 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was a communicant of St. Charles Borromeo Church. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 29th at 10:00 at St. Charles Church with friends and family gathering thirty minutes prior. Adeline will be laid to rest along with her husband Walter Slazik at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Dewitt, NY following the service.
