Sister enjoyed talking about her childhood at Mt Carmel, Pennsylvania, where she was born November 13th, 1921. Pearl was a woman of great insight and intelligence.

She launched her career with the US Navy where she served as one of the waves which afforded her trips to many countries throughout Europe. During one such visit to Southwestern France at the famous pilgrimage site of Lourdes she claimed to have received her religious call to the Contemplative Life.

In 2018, she and the members of her community, became  members of the Monastery of Mary the Queen, 15635 Greenridge Road, Girard, Illinois after the suppression of their original monastery.
