September 26, 2014 Mark G. Gagnier, 93, of Syracuse passed away on Friday, September 26th. Born in Churubusco, NY, Mark was an Army veteran of WWII, serving in Italy and Germany. He retired in 1982 after 42 years in the Bond Department at Merchant’s Bank. Mark was a communicant of St. Mary`s Catholic Church, in Baldwinsville, NY. An active member of the Moose Club and the VFW, Mark also loved fishing and was an avid Yankees fan. Mark is survived by his three children, Mark Gagnier , Brian (Debbie) Gagnier, and Michele (Chris) Carroll; seven grandchildren, Nicole, Lauren, Christian, Lindsay, Emily, Bryan and Danielle; and his sister Cecile Sojka. There will be a private funeral service and burial with military honors held at the Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery.
