Obituary of Beverly Davis

            Beverly A. Davis, 91, passed away peacefully at home on March 26, 2023, with her family by her side. She was born in Syracuse to Charles and Evelyn Warren, attended North High School and Le Moyne College. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry in 1952.  Beverly worked in the medical research field in both Syracuse and Buffalo before being a grade school and high school teacher in Syracuse.  She taught science and chemistry at St. Charles Borromeo School as well as Bishop Ludden High School.  Beverly was loved and respected by her students, many of whom still comment and remember her patient, generous and positive spirit.

            Beverly is survived by her children, daughters, Kathleen (Frank) Hosek and Karen (Russell) Villi, her son, Richard (Pamela) Davis, as well as her grandchildren, Nicole, Brian (Cecilia), Dan, Matthew, Lauren, Jessica, Christine, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Beverly was predeceased by her husband, George F. Davis this past June.  Together they celebrated almost 67 years of marriage.

            Beverly’s family would like to thank the caregivers who took such wonderful care of Mom over the past year enabling her to stay in her own home surrounded by family and friends in a familiar, peaceful environment.

            The funeral will be held on Friday, March 31 at 11:00 am at St. Charles Church. Family will be available 1 hour prior to the Mass. Burial to follow at Assumption Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to the St. Charles Food Pantry or Bishop Ludden High School Science Department.
