Obituary of Christine Shelley

Christine Joyce Shelley, 72, of Syracuse, New York, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2023 at home with family at bedside. 

Christine was born in Syracuse, NY to the late John and Arlene Schreiner on October 26, 1950. She went to Corcoran High School. She went on to earn a nursing degree at Central Tech and worked as a OB/GYN nurse until she retired. Christine enjoyed watching Yankee baseball, Syracuse basketball and trips to the casino.  She liked to travel and loved spending time with her family and friends.  We will remember her smart comments and of course her eye rolls. 

Christine is survived by her husband, Eugene Shelley of Syracuse, daughter Tara (Ben) Abar, son Joel Shelley, grandchildren Riley, Haley, and Cristian, sisters Doreen  Schreiner, Terri (Bob) Davis, and Barbara Kulak along with several nieces and nephews.

There will be a celebration of life planned for close family and friends.
