John B. James, 90, passed away Christmas morning.
Born in Syracuse, NY, he was the son of Salvatore and Nicolina James. John graduated from Morrisville College with a degree in horology. He was the owner of Diana Jewelry in Syracuse and the founder of Heavenly Pines Jewelry in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
John was a Eucharistic minister and The Grand Knight of Sacred Heart Council, Knights of Columbus in Pinehurst, NC.
He is survived by his sisters Sylvia George and Diana Pauldine. Children Christina (Mark) Rotondo, John (Selina) James and Elizabeth (John) Formoza. Grandchildren Michael, Maria, Laura, Johnny, Jonathan and Brandon. Great-grandchildren Jackson and Charlie.
A private funeral service was held at The Church of St. Michael and St. Peter with burial at the Veteran’s Cemetery in Syracuse on January 3, 2023.
John will be remembered for his love of family and celebrating the milestones of others through his passion for jewelry.
