Obituary of Thomas Francis Wisk Sr.

Thomas “Tom” Francis Wisk, 79 of Syracuse, NY, a lifelong area resident entered into rest on December 16, 2022. Tom was born on June 2, 1943 to the late John and Frances (Jakubowski) Wisk. He attended Sacred Heart School and obtained a B.S. in Psychology at Western Kentucky University. He served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in July of 1973. Tom worked as a chemical operator at Bristol Myers Squibb and retired in 1999. He was also the proprietor of The Wisk Inn on Oneida Lake. Tom enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed camping, spending time outdoors, playing Pitch, and traveling. Most of all, he loved music festivals and was a frequent attendee of GrassRoots Festival for many years. He was an active member at the Polish Home and the American Legion in Syracuse. Tom was always willing to share his knowledge, funny stories, advice, and lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He is survived by his children Thomas Wisk Jr. of Colorado Springs, CO, Audra Connelly of Syracuse, NY, Terrance Wisk (Elizabeth) of N. Syracuse, NY, his beloved granddaughters Brittany, Natalie, Emily, and Paige, also his great grandchildren, Julianna, Nathon, and Cayden.

Burial services with Honors will be held 11AM at the Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery Chapel 4069 Howlett Hill Rd Syracuse NY 13215.
