Obituary of Sonny Fantacone

Sonny Grey Fantacone, formerly known as Julia Lynne Fantacone, 26, passed away on September 19, 2022 in Syracuse, NY.  She was the eldest daughter of Tom and Dania Fantacone.  She grew up in Plantation, Florida where she graduated from McFatter Technical High School in 2014.  She graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Albany, New York in 2018 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.  She found her career at SUNY Upstate Medical University as a Senior Programmer/Analyst rewarding and was very proud of the work she did.

Sonny will always be remembered for her ability to establish long lasting close relationships with so many who loved her dearly.  She found joy and happiness everyday in life with her family and pets.  Sonny was also an adventurer at heart, loved nature, and planned to travel around the world.  She enjoyed reading, writing, music, hiking, and exploring new places with her friends.  Sonny was always so passionate trying to make the world a better, fairer place, and to that end had an unwavering fighting spirit.  She will be remembered for her kindness, bright personality, and willingness to help anyone who needed it.

She is survived by her parents Tom and Dania, her sister Olivia, her grandmother Mildred, her Uncles Lou and Richard, Aunts Damaris and Ginger, Cousin Frankie, as well as many lifelong and loyal friends who will miss her dearly.

The memorial service will be held at Parkway Christian Church in Davie, Florida on October 6th, at 11:00am.
