James John Jufko, 79 of Baldwinsville, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday. Jim was born on October 25, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan to John and Cecilia (Wolski) Jufko. After moving to New York, Jim worked in the Auto parts industry. He was a well liked and respected USSSA Softball Umpire for 43 years. Jim had a strong Catholic faith and served as a lector for 45 years in the Syracuse area.

Jim is predeceased by his wife of 34 years Joan (Karamus) Jufko and sister, Melaine Miscencik. Jim is survived by his partner, Judith Woodard; sons, Philip (Pam) Jufko, Todd (Sue) Jufko; daughter, Jill Freytag (Randy Polmanteer); Step-son, Mark (Beverly) Ladouceur; Brothers, Dennis (Mary Lou) Jufko, Leonard(Ana)Jufko; Sister, Paula(Jeffery) Lyons; Grandson, Joshua; granddaughters, Jessica, Natasha and Brandi and nephews, nieces and cousins.

 

Visitation: Friday, April 8th, 10 AM to 10:30AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Patrick’s Church 216 N. Lowell Avenue Syracuse NY 13204
