Obituary of Feliks Mazur

Feliks Mazur, 93, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, March 12, 2022.  Born in  Gorajec, Poland, on December 20, 1928, he was the son of Jan and Aniela Malysz Mazur.  He immigrated to the United States in 1961.

 

Feliks was a communicant of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a 40 year member of the Polonez Choir, Sacred Heart Seniors and the Polish Community Home.  He retired from General Motors in 1993 as a machinist. 

 

He enjoyed traveling, gathering with friends/family, gardening, dancing and above all spending time with his grandchildren.

 

Feliks is survived by his wife of 62 years, Maria Mazur, children, George Mazur, Christina (Steve) Tone, five grandchildren, Joshua (Stephanie) Mazur, Mikayla (Joshua) Nelson, Alexander Tone, Samantha Tone and 

Nathan Mazur-Christaldi.  He was predeceased by daughter, Virginia Mazur.

 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 15, at 9:30 am at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus; 927 Park Ave, Syracuse.  Burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Geddes. 

 

Family requests in lieu of flowers to please make contributions to Sacred Heart Preservation Fund, 927 Park Ave, Syracuse, NY 13204.
