Obituary of John Stanley Indick

John passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Monday, March 7th at the age of 85. He was born in Syracuse, NY to parents Stanley and Caroline (Branca) Indick on September 21, 1936. John spent his career helping others. He was a program coordinator for the Crusades for Opportunity in Syracuse in the 1960s before moving on to work with the Wayne County Action Program. The majority of his career was spent as the Youth Opportunity Program director at the Newark Developmental Center. John was an avid motorcyclist, golfer and fisherman. He was a passionate Buffalo Sabres fan, loved to read, listen to music and was known to enjoy a good cigar. He is survived by his sons John Crowley and Peter (Laurie) Indick, sister Georganne (Ronald) Speach and niece Christa Speach, as well as many cousins.
