James C. Wheeler, 75 of Meridian passed away on January 24, 2022 at the VA Hospital after a long illness. Jim was an Army veteran. He retired from O’Connell Electric in Syracuse but his true passion was being behind the grill and catering events with his very own, Jim’s Roasters 4 Hire. Jim enjoyed garage sales, auctions and collecting model cars and magazines.   

He is predeceased by his father and step-mother, John and Arlene Wheeler, mother Beatrice Fox, He is survived by his children, Tracy Wheeler, Sandra Wheeler and James D. Wheeler, his grandchildren, Ana Jimenez and Emma Wheeler, several siblings and a large extended family. 

As per Jim’s wishes there will be no services. A celebration of life will be planned in the future.
