William W Hogle, 72, of Syracuse Passed away peacefully at home on January 6, 2022. He was an Altar boy, Cub Scout and a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving two tours, which got his brother Tom out of Vietnam and kept his brother Bob from going to Vietnam. He was Born at St. Joes, in Syracuse to Thomas W.  and Arlene(Waters) Hogle,  who predeceased him , as did a sister Marilee and a grandson Tyler. He is survived by 5 brothers: J Thomas, Robert (Anne), George, Michael (Becky), and Curtis, and 5 sisters: Maureen (Aida), Therese (Joan), Kathy (Berle) Jones, Phyllis, and Nanette (Sean) Gorman. 2 daughters Cynthia Hogle and Angela (Dan) Felicia, many special Nieces and Nephews and 3 Grandchildren: Taylor, Annamaria, and Nicholas, and a Great granddaughter, Everleigh.  Bill worked at New Process Gear and then worked at Hutchings Psychiatric Center where he retired from after 30 years, as a Maintenance Engineer.  Bill enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He loved the Yankees, making many trips to “The House that Ruth Built”, as well as being a big Western Movies fan. He enjoyed his long time golf league and was a scratch Golfer.  He will be greatly missed, they don’t make them like that anymore!

He will be interred at Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery with a Celebration of Life in the spring.
