Virginia (Ginny) Pawlus, 91, of Syracuse passed away peacefully in her lifelong home on Sunday Dec. 5, 2021. She was predeceased by her parents Josef and Stella (Bajorek) Pawlus, her sisters Helen Michalski and Stella Pawlus, and nephew John Michalski. She is survived by nephew James (Barbara) Michalski, great nephew Jared Michalski, and great niece Elicia (Kevin) Clegg of Rochester and their children Owen and Colton. Virginia retired from GE after 35 years of service. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Basilica, a past member of the Dewitt Choraliers, the “Happy Tappers”, and an enthusiastic participant in the Town of Dewitt theater productions. Always one to tell jokes, sending numerous greeting cards to friends and family, and sharing her homemade cookies, desserts and never ending supply of coupons to everyone. Visitation will be held at Hollis Funeral Home, 1105 W. Genesee St. Saturday Dec. 11 from 9 AM with a Liturgical service at 10 AM in the Funeral Home followed by the burial service at Sacred Heart Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice
