Obituary of Gloria Jean Piatkowski

Gloria Jean Piatkowski, 97, passed away peacefully at Loretto Health and Rehabilitation in Syracuse, NY on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. Born on May 31, 1924 in Lakeland, NY, to Joseph and Augusta (nee Fabian) Artin, Gloria was predeceased by her husband Michael, her sisters Frances Longwinter, Helen Pozzi, Beatrice Fabisiak, Charlotte Leahey and Elaine Grudzinski; along with her brothers Adam, Charles, William, Raymond and Stanley. Gloria is survived by her sons Alan (Donna), Robert (Terry) and Gary (Lori); her grandchildren, Stephen, Olivia, Zachary and Lucas along with many nieces and nephews.

Gloria graduated from Solvay High School and went on to work at Easy Washing Machine Company, New Process Gear and P&C Foods. She also taught Comptometers at Central Tech in Syracuse while raising her three boys. She was a communicant and active member of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and was also involved with the Syracuse Polish Home. Gloria enjoyed working bingo along with organizing trips to various Polka conventions and Polka cruises.

Funeral Services: 9:30AM Wednesday, September 8^th, in The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus  927 Park Avenue Syracuse.

Burial: Sacred Heart Cemetery, Geddes
