Obituary of William Richard Hanley

William Hanley, 93, prominent church organist and choir director, died on July 20. He was a classically-trained pianist and took up playing the harp and the French horn in his 80's. He taught piano and was a music teacher at Jordan-Elbridge elementary school. He studied under leading national choral directors, at the most prominent school of Gregorian chant in this hemisphere and was a notable authority on chant.
