Obituary of Dean J. Sposato

Please share a memory of Dean to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
March 10, 2014 Dean, 55, sailed off on his eternal voyage after an inspirational three year battle with lung cancer that demonstrated his indomitable spirit and zest for life. Born and raised in Syracuse, he worked for many years at his family business, Sposato Floor Covering Co., before leaving to become an independent contractor. He is best remembered for his insatiable curiosity about the world that led him from one once-in-a-lifetime experience to another. From deep sea diving for sunken treasure, to cleaning up the wreckage of the Twin Towers, to leading overseas goodwill missions for the troops, Dean's life was full of adventure. He will be remembered and missed for his compassion and unique sense of humor that he shared with those around him. Dean was predeceased by his father, Ernest. He is survived by his two children, Corey and Carina, his mother, Mary, and siblings, Barbara, Diane, Ernie and John. A memorial mass will be held at St. Cecilia’s Church on Tuesday April 8th @ 9am.
