Obituary of Anthony Raymond Fiato

It is with great sadness that the family of Anthony Raymond Fiato announce his passing at the ripe old age of 90 years of age. Anthony will be lovingly remembered by his four children - John Fiato, Matthew Fiato, Michelle Fiato and James Fiato. Anthony is also survived by his eleven grandchildren. Anthony is survived by Azriel Fiato, Alana Fiato and Analyse Fiato, belonging to Matthew and Shawn Fiato. Additionally, Anthony is survived by Jared Hansen, son of Michelle Fiato and Wayne Hansen. Finally, Anthony is survived by Jedidiah Fiato, Michaela Fiato, Ivana Fiato, Sophia Fiato, Madeline Fiato, James Fiato and Isaac Fiato, belonging to James Fiato and Jessica Holland. They will carry on his legacy of love and joy.

Anthony was predeceased by his beautiful wife Arlene Fiato. Anthony was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 5, 1930. He served in the United States Air Force from 1950 – 1953 with an honorable discharge. Anthony moved to Syracuse where he met his dear wife Arlene. Together, they raised their four kids. He worked for Amtrak Railroad and retired as an Engineer after 35 years.  Anthony was a devout Christian, and his life is a testimony of God’s love. He will be remembered by numerous other family members and friends. He loved life and enjoyed bowling, golf, and billiards. Most of all, Anthony loved people and he knew how to laugh.

Services were held at Hollis Funeral Home in Syracuse and he was buried next to his faithful wife Arlene Fiato at Oakwood Cemetery.
