Obituary of Donald E. McGee

Donald E. McGee, 65, Passed away peacefully on January 12th, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse, NY.

Born in Syracuse, NY, he was the son of Alan John McGee, and Gladys O’Hara. He attended Cazenovia High School, and resided in Manlius, NY.  He was mostly self-employed contractor.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 141 in Manlius, NY. He enjoyed spending time with friends, and family. He will be remembered for his funny personality, always having a smile on his face, and having a special love for all. Don was loved by so many and will be missed by those whose hearts he touched.

He is survived by his children Cheryl Martinez (Omar Martinez), and Donald McGee, his grandchildren Lauren Martinez, and Marcos Martinez, his brothers Alan “Kenny” McGee (Annette McGee), and Robert “Bogie” McGee.   His niece and nephew Kayla McGee, and Alan McGee. He was predeceased by his parents Alan John McGee and Gladys McGee.

Don has donated his body to the Anatomical Gift Program, in Syracuse New York. Due to the current pandemic, there will be no calling hours, or services held for him. His family will be having a memorial service for him at some point, when larger groups can be together, please just keep in contact with his family members.
