April 4, 2009 Stanley Mazur, 82 of Syracuse passed away Saturday. Stanley was born in Gorajec, Poland on May 4, 1926 to Jan and Aniela Malysz Mazur. He immigrated into the United Staes in 1951. Stanley was a communicant of The Basilica of The Sacred Heart of Jesus, a member of Polonez Choir, since 1952, an Social Honorary Member of I.J. Paderewski Choir, Sacred Heart Seniors and Syracuse Polish Community Home, Park Avenue. Stanley was a baker for 18 years at A&P and retired 1990 as a machine operator at New Process Gear after 22 years. Stanley is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ludwika “Lucia” Mazur, Children; Barbara (Robert Grover) Mazur of CT, John (Tatiana) Mazur of Albany, Adam Mazur of Potomac, MD and Anne-Marie Mazur of Baltimore, MD; 4 grandchildren, Andrew, Stephanie, Anastasia and Veronika ; Brother, Feliks (Maria) Mazur of Camillus; Sister- Paulina of Poland Calling Hours: Tuesday 4 to 7 PM at Hollis Funeral Home. Funeral Services: Wednesday 8:30 AM at Hollis Funeral Home and 9:30 AM in The Basilica of The Sacred Heart of Jesus. Burial: Sacred Heart Cemetery, Geddes.
