February 19, 2014 William “Bill” Ostroski Sr. of Liverpool passed away peacefully, Wednesday, with his family at his bedside. Bill was born in Scranton, PA on April 24, 1927 to Leon and Margaret Siekierka Ostroski. He was a member of Holy Cross PNC Church and of YMS of R Society. Bill was a Navy Veteran of WWII and was retired after 36 yrs. employment at Carrier Corp. Bill was an avid golfer. In addition to his parents , he was predeceased by sister, Marie and brother, Joseph, Bill is survived by his wife of 63 years Jane (Kielar) Ostroski; daughter, Deborah; Sons; Bill (Wendy) Ostroski and Jeffrey (Susan) Ostroski; grandchildren, Kristi Fazio, Jennifer Zmaczynski, Carly, Katie and Emily Ostroski and great granddaughter, Jocelyn Zmaczynski. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the Staff of Sunnyside Nursing Home for the care given to Bill. Calling Hours: Monday 4 to 7PM Hollis Funeral Home 1105 W. Genesee St Syracuse. Funeral Services: Tuesday 10 AM in Holy Cross Polish National Catholic Church. Spring Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery.
