Obituary of Thomas J Cortese

January 15, 2014 Thomas (TJ) Cortese 57, of Syracuse passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, January 15th. Tom was a life resident of the Valley. He was born to Sam Cortese and Jeanne Cortese Bottrill. TJ is predeceased by his mother, Jeanne Cortese Bottrill and sister, Michelle Cortese Murray. TJ is survived by his five daughters; Melissa (Tony Miller) Cortese, Kiley (Billy Hudson) Cortese, Samantha (Mike) Lewis, Ashley(Fred) Ford, Kimberly(Matt Sweeney) Cortese, and his ten grandchildren. He will also be missed by his siblings; Anne (David) Sacks-Berg, Michael (Michelle) Cortese, Catherine Penizotto, David (Anne Marie) Cortese, Teresa(Dan) Seeley and his stepfather; Marvin Bottrill. A memorial gathering will be held Thursday, January 23rd, from 4 to 6 pm at Diamond Catering 4221 Fay Road Syracuse. In lieu of flowers, donations in TJ's name may be made to Webster's Pond, payable to: Angler's Association of Onondaga, 2004 Valley Dr. Syracuse N.Y. 13207.
