This is a story I have teased Brent about from time to time, as cousins sometimes do. Brent was born in 1977. In 1981 The Oak Ridge Boys released their cover of the Song “ELVIRA.” This song was the Baby Shark Song of the day. And Brent really enjoyed listening and singing along to it! Fast forward a few decades. Brent enjoyed his music heavy! So from time to time I would bring up his humble music roots. Love you Bubba! Rest Easy My Cousin. I’m sorry I won’t be able to be there to properly send you off.

Its so sad that Brent was taken from us too young. I feel for his mom, his children and his sisters. At least I have his memory. I wanted to share more of his life but life gets in the way. My brother and sister in-law gave me a place to stay while I got up on my feet in Texas’s. I was around him pretty much everyday for a little while. Brent was about 4 or 5 years old then and I remember him as the cutest “ forgive me Bubba” blond headed little man. He could get you laugh until you were in stitches. I want this family to be strong and take care of each other. God bless.
