Obituary of Michael G. Gonzalski
Michael G. “Guido” Gonzalski passed peacefully on Thursday September 19th surrounded by his loving family. Michael was born and raised in Syracuse. He attended Syracuse City Schools.
Michael was married to Sara (Purdy) Gonzalski for 29 years. He is the father of Michael Gonzalski, Jr. and Stephanie Gonzalski And Gpa to Cody and McKayla.
Michael was a Master Auto Mechanic for many years in the Syracuse area working for many years at Midtown Auto and Galster Auto in East Syracuse. He was especially talented in the repair of foreign vehicles. Michael had a unique talent for diagnosing car problems that a number of other mechanics were unable to do.
Michael was a well known bowler in the Syracuse Bowling Association. Currently He was competing in the Indicator Pick Up League on Wednesday nights at Bowling Green.
Guido cared more about helping people and enjoying life than anything else.
Michael was predeceased by his parents Joseph A. Gonzalski Jr. and Helen Gonzalski.
He is survived by his loving wife Sara (Purdy) Gonzalski. His children Michael, Jr. (Nikki) Gonzalski and Stephanie (Ryan) Gonzalski. His grandchildren Cody and McKayla.
His siblings Linda Stachnik, Cindy (Brian) Langdon, Joseph A. Gonzalski III, David (Teri) Gonzalski and Gary Rozyczko; His loving Nieces and Nephews. Aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling Hours are Wednesday, 3 to 7PM, Hollis Funeral Home, 1105 W. Genesee St., Syracuse. Funeral Services: Thursday , 9:30 AM Sacred Heart Basilica. Burial: St Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
