Obituary of John Robert Mahar

John (Bob) Mahar passed away Tuesday night at home on his 92nd Birthday.  He is survived by Bernadine, his wife of 67 years and children Gary Mahar (Susan) of  Liverpool, Sharon Holliday (Dave) of Liverpool, Patrick Mahar (Paula) of Solvay, Marie Helwig-Mahar (Luann) of North Syracuse, Deborah Garcia (JJ) of Canyon Lake Tx, 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.  Bob retired from Carrier after 43 years of employment.   He served in the Army and was a member of the Tipp Hill American Legion.  Calling hours will be Sunday, June 16^th, 12PM to 2PM at the Hollis Funeral Home 1105 West Genesee Street, Syracuse. A funeral mass will be held 9:30 AM Monday, June 17^th, at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart.
