Ii was so very sad to hear of Jon’s sudden passing. I pray for his family and friends. Jon will be greatly missed by those of us at camp Oneida where he was so popular and well loved! I will miss him very much. He was always a warm, social, and considerate gentlemen to me.

Life is a journey, and in that walk of life, had the opportunity of meeting a very loveable man, by the name of Jon.
We had conversations about waxes and cleaners applicable to late model vehicles and their proficiencies verses new automobiles. We would share emotions of excitement, joy, even laugh at ourselves on how we felt about bringing the beauty out of something old and sweet.
The subject of cars might be boring to another. Although excitement, joy, laughter is something Jon put towards all walks of life. Thank you for sharing your time with me Jon and it was a pleasure celebrating your life.
My deepest sympathy, sincerely Ken

I trekked through the blizzards in the winter and the weather of all the other times of year to go and visit at Dj's and Jon home. They are my extended family. I could walk in and sit down and we could pick up right where we had left off on my last visit. Jon would have a pile of large print books of a favorite author waiting for my visit and I could read through one or two of them every viisit. It became my life's pleasure to be at their table for Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. When I was hospitalized they both were at my bed side daily even if I was so drugged or in a coma I didn't know they were. I have sobbed and had my thoughts filled with Jon since I heard. I will miss him. Unfortunately my health prevents me from going to the Memorial Service next week but I will definitely be at the Pennsylvania Serivce at the end of April. Jon is in a better place and has no more pain. I'm thankful for that but so saddened. Love you always, watch over me and all your other loved ones. Bill

Best memories of Jon are playing a duet at a piano recital when I was probably 8 or 9. I took many lessons yet I was awful but Jon taught himself to play and was a natural. Very grateful there were no video cameras available then. Also, the closely held family secret that Paula's broken collarbone was the result of Jon running over her with Larry Dye's new bike because it had hand brakes and he tried to brake the old fashioned way. We had a great childhood.

John had so many good qualities! He was a friend to everyone at camp... And was always able to find something good to say! He gave solid advice as he was very observant. His love of animals was obvious and he was always kind! He kept the pool area spotless and the water clean and perfectly balanced! He also made great potato salad! Mike and I will miss him! He was one of the first friends that we made at camp 17 years ago. May he rest in peace.
