Wladyk and I have been good friends since he arrived in the United States in 1984.From the beginning, I admired his hard work ethic and honesty. Several songs have been going through my head with regard to his life: “I Did it My Way” by Frank Sinatra and James Taylor's “Fire and Rain” – especially the verse “I always thought that I'd see you again.” He deserves to rest in peace from life's struggles and that is my wish for him. My most recent fond memory of Wladyk is the tenderness I witnessed when he spent time with his granddaughter Ava. I so admired Helen, Justyna, Matt and the family who helped him through his most challenging times. Rest in peace, dear friend.
