Obituary of Dorothy Mae Niedzialek

Dorothy Niedzialek passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018. Formerly of Syracuse, she lived in Solvay the past 20 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Chester, in 1981, and her parents, Peter and Sophie (Krupa) Baniewicz.

She was an Executive Secretery for Babson Brothers and an Account Secretary for Galson and Galson and King and Kings's Engineering firm. 

Dorothy enjoyed crocheting and made afghans for her entire family. She also loved doing picture puzzles and crossword puzzles. She volunteered for many years at Bingo for Sacred Heart Church and was an election inspector for well over 20 years. But her greatest joy was her family. 

She is survived by her daughter Sharon (Michael) Ryan, son Gregory (Theresa) Niedzialek, both of Solvay, sister Arlene DeRoo of Rochester, four grandchildren, Melissa Sealy, Kristen Haynes, Lynn Cunningham, and Michael Niedzialek and her six great-grandchildren, Sierra Haynes, Delaney Sealy, Hannah Niedzialek and Kaylie, Jillian and Alyssa Cunningham. 

Calling hours will be held Thursday 4-7 PM at Hollis Funeral Home, 1105 West Genesee St. Syracuse with funeral services on Friday 9:30AM Sacred Heart Basilica. Burial will be at St. Mary's Mausoleum, DeWitt.
