Obituary of Ida Warzecha

Ida M. Warzecha, 96, of Syracuse, N.Y. passed away peacefully on September 13, 2018 at Sunnyside Care Center in East Syracuse, N.Y.
Ida is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Wladyslawa Warzecha, brothers Chester, Stanley, Walter and Mitchell Warzecha, Sisters, Valerie Sobolewski and Genevieve Amerman. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews. Ida was born in Syracuse, N.Y. on May 24, 1922.
She was very proud of her Polish heritage and devoted her life giving to the community and helping others. Ida was a graduate of Central Technical School. She was a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps stationed at Cherry Point, N.C. She graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a degree in fashion design and merchandising. She worked in retail management for Ormond's, Lerner’s and Chappell’s department stores. She retired from the Environmental School of Forestry Library Department, Syracuse, N.Y. 

Visitation: Saturday 8:45 AM in Sacred Heart Basilica. Funeral Mass: Saturday 9:30AM the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, 927 Park Ave. Syracuse, N.Y.  Burial with Honors will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Geddes.  Donations can be made to the Disabled American Veterans
