I am very sorry to hear of Ed's death. We worked together from 1990 until his retirement from NYSDOT, and I considered him a friend. He was always a very nice person to work with, and was not content until all the loose ends were tied down and the work was correct. His diligence prevented many problems when projects went to Construction. He welcomed me to Syracuse when I came to work here. I was from Brooklyn. He gave me local insights that were invaluable to our family. He truly cared about people. He gave me some of his engineering books when he retired. When i handle them now, to look up something, i hear his voice and his laugh.
Although we will all miss him, he is now forever reunited with Ellie, the person who meant the most to him, and we have our memories to treasure.
