Obituary of Alice F. Steckiewicz

Alice F. Steckiewicz, 91, born in Oswego, NY on July 6, 1926, passed away on February 25, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Alexander and Mary (Jung) Bobreski.
She was employed by the State University of NY College of Environmental Science and Forestry for 23 years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Onondaga District, and past president of CSEA local 913, and CSEA retirees. A volunteer of F.I.S.H. of Manlius.

She is survived by a sister, Ellen Jane Waldermar of Pinehurst NC, nieces and nephews, cousins in Poland, her caregiver and friend Wendy Wilson, her beloved dog, Dogo, and many feline friends.
She was predeceased by her son Roy W. in 2002, her former husband and life long friend Roy N. in 2012, her brother Alexander Bobreski of Port St. Lucie, Fl., sisters, Helen Rich of Syracuse, Louise Kon of Oswego, and her beloved dog, Mitzi.

As per Alice’s request, there are no calling hours or services and her body be donated to Upstate Medical University Anatomical Gift Program.
Donations in Alice’s name may be made to the Syracuse Veteran’s Administration DAV Transportation Unit.
Hollis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
