December 14, 2007 Margaret Kranz, 85, of Solvay, passed away Friday at Van Duyn Home and Hospital. Born January 15, 1922, she married Howard Kranz in 1941. She retired from Pass & Seymour after working there for over twenty-two years. She loved to bake and cook for her family and friends, dance the polka and travel with the Red & White Club. She was a communicant of St. Cecilia's Church. She adored her grandchildren and one great-grandson. Her family is grateful for the wonderful care she received while at Van Duyn. Her husband, Howard Henry Kranz, predeceased her in 2001. She is survived by her son, Howard J., (Cheryl) Kranz of Long Island, and daughters, Darlene A. Jewett and Pamela J. (Francis) Stepien, of Camillus; her grandchildren, Michael and Matthew Kranz, Gregory and Kimberly Jewett, Jeffrey and Tracy Stepien and Jennifer (Jeffrey) Johnson; and great-grandson, Alec Jewett. Calling Hours: Sunday 2 to 5pm at Hollis Funeral Home Funeral Services: Monday 8:30 AM at Hollis Funeral Home and 9:30 AM St. Cecilia’s Church, Solvay. Burial: Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse. Contributions may be made to Van Duyn Home and Hospital or St.Cecilia's Food Pantry.
