Michael L McCrary, 65, passed away on August 14th, 2023. Born in Sharon, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Izeola McCrary and Maxie Lee Bines. He graduated from Farrell High School in Farrell Pennsylvania in 1977. He was a member of the United States Marine Corp from 1977 to 1985. He moved and has resided in Syracuse, New York since 1985. 

 

He is survived by his partner MJ DeTemple. They shared 26 years together. He is survived by his children, Andre (Shauna) Grannison , Aaron McCrary, Michelle McCrary, Tanika (Chris) Linney , Michael (Kayla) McCrary , Tanya McCrary and 17 Grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers Robert Earl McCrary and Danny (Veda) McCrary, as well his sisters Flora Joyce White, Theresa Ashe, and The Reverend Clifferette (Jeff) Dunlap and several nieces and nephews. 

 

He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Gladys Walker and Janice Jean Flint, his nephew William “LB” Jones and granddaughter Isabella Linney.

 

Visitation will be on Tuesday August 22nd, 2023 at 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Living Water Church of God in Christ, 121 Huron St, Syracuse, NY 13207 with the funeral service immediately following.

 

Internment will be at Myrtle Hill Cemetery following the service.
